Latest Prestige Favorites
I have heard it from more than one person that walking into a beauty store is overwhelming. I get it. Where do you even start? What brands are good? What products of those brands are good? Well let me help. I put together a list of the latest prestige beauty products that I have been using (and loving). Everything listed can be found at Sephora. The lash primer, mascara and face powder listed here can also be found at Ulta.
Fenty Longwear Foundation: I am all about foundation. Anything to make my skin appear more radiant and smooth, I'm in. I was able to sample this foundation before buying it. And I fell in love. My skin looked amazing when I used this, I even got compliments on my makeup on those days too. I'm always on the hunt for a good foundation and I am so so glad I picked this one up. Go to Sephora and try it for yourself.
Fenty Shimmer Skinstick: Props to Rihanna for carrying such a wide variety of colors in this. I could have played with these all day! And it was so hard to choose a color. I was proud of myself and only grabbed one. I chose the shade in Yacht Lyfe. For this product, I apply it where I normally put my blush.
Lancôme CILS Booster: I used to only use lash primer for special occasions. I mean, what's the point of adding another step in my makeup routine? Now, I use it everyday. Why? Well I am not a big fan of false lashes for my everyday life. It's too much for me. I can fake falsies pretty easy with this lash primer and a good mascara (see below). Plus, I feel like the lash primer protects my lashes from the mascara.
Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara: Volume! If you want big lashes, get this product. It's become my new favorite mascara.
Helpful hint: If you end up buying a makeup/skincare product that you absolutely do not like, keep your box and receipt. You can do an exchange even when it's used.
It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder: I live for this powder. I started using this product this past spring/summer and my skin looked flawless when I had this on. I use this with a large round brush and I apply it once I have my liquid foundation on. The beauty of this powder is, if I was running late and just needed to get myself out the door, I could throw this on by itself and still look put together. This is my second time buying this, so yeah, I like it a lot.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir: The first thing you'll notice about this product is the smell. It's earthy and herby. When I was in Sephora and saw this on the shelf, I knew I had to have it (again). My skin looked great when I first used this a few years back. I had to get this favorite again. I spray this all over my face once I have all my makeup on to set it.
Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Oil: This is a face oil that brightens and hydrates and doesn't feel greasy. The first time I tried this was yet again because it came as a sample in a Sephora order. It felt and looked so luxe. I was feeling pretty fancy using this. The container is clear glass with dried rose petals inside. I love everything about this product; the smell, the way it feels on my face, the packaging and how my skin feels afterward.
